Chhatrapati Sambhajijnagar Metropolitan Region Development Authority (CSMRDA) is Planning and Development Authority for the Chhatrapati Sambhajijnagar Metropolitan Region with an outlook towards channelizing growth in a strategic and orderly manner.CSMRDA was established on 1st March 2017 under the provisions of the Maharashtra Metropolitan Region Development Authority Act, 2016. As an integral component of the Regional Plan of Chhatrapati Sambhajijnagar district, CSMRDA plays a crucial role in shaping the development landscape of the region. Chhatrapati Sambhajijnagar district spans a total area of 10,100 square kilometres and comprises 09 tehsils. CSMRDA covers a substantial portion of the district, comprising approximately 21% of its total area, with a significant focus on planned development. CSMRDA's establishment marks a significant step towards coordinating and streamlining developmental efforts within the broader framework of Chhatrapati Sambhajijnagar's regional planning and growth strategy.
